The Mains Selection
This is an immigrants version, straight from the curry joint’s of UK! The sub-continental late night curry houses of UK come up with this delicious style of cooking. A thickly cooked curry which has an aromatic influence of fresh ginger, and daily roasted coriander seeds, add to that diced onions, capsicum and juicy tomatoes, it might be a bastardized version of a curry, but the POMS love it. Now that’s great credentials!!
Parsi folks are people living mainly in Bombay. They gave us the dish called Dhansak, and it’sabsolutely amazing, it’s a fiery curry with chunks of vegetables, lentils and spinach, scented withasafetida and ginger. Very peppery, Very spicy!!
